Randy Wolf came through with a solid 9 innings as the Burbank Tigers defeated
the California Gangsta Luv by a score of 3 to 0 at Pro Player
Stadium.
Wolf(6-3) came through with a virtuoso performance against the California
hitters. He didn't allow much, just 4 hits and 1 walk in 9 innings reducing
his ERA from 5.21 to 4.64. Burbank had 7 hits for the afternoon.
The loss was charged to Greg Maddux(8-5). Alan Dyche was obviously impressed
with the pitching of Wolf, 'That guy made us look a little silly out there
this afternoon. We just couldn't get to him at all - everything was working
for him. I just hope that he got that kinda performance out of his system.'
